    4. DIY Electric clothing - Courtesy of catnipp Amie (catnipp2):

I have two places I got the info from. I also have tested some of my own designs and found supplys to make it work for less than half that you can buy the brand names for! It works great but you have to play with it to make sure you get the wire long enough to not burn yourself and not too long or it wont be warm enough ! I want my gloves warmer than my socks so the wires will be slightly shorter. Then I made it in the lengths and hooked them up parallel on the feed wire to the bayonet connector so it woldnt short out to anything on the hot side to the battery. I also have a source for a controller ! I used the real nicade wire 23g and sleve type insulation that I can just slide over it. I got it in bulk :)

      Hope this helps. Ames

    3. Visor for Flip Up Face Shields   (updated 1/18/06)

      Discussion:  SilverBack (AGBack)

One thing you lose when you use a full face or 3/4 helmet - the visor that lets you block the sun and glare. I have been using the Super Visor (link below) for 2 years on my 3/4 helmet with flip up face mask -- it is fantastic, and a real deal at $16.95 + $3.00 S&H.  Easy to install, good looking, functional, and fits all helmets with flip up face shields.  Two 'thumbs up"!

    4. Helmet Visor Tinting - cheap trick

From SilverBack: Bottom line, I very seldom use the tinted shield - when it turns darker out - have to ride with tinted on tipped up and do not really have the space to carry a spare.

I bought a roll of the stuff they sell in Wal-Mart to darken car windows for babies - clinging tinted film - cut into 2-3 inch wide strips the width of my 3/4 helmet shield - roll up several and then roll them in 'saran" wrap to keep clean - if I need tinting - just stick one inside the helmet shield, peel it off when it gets dark ouy - reuse it several times and then toss when it gets dirty or un-clingy
